EMAIL ACCOUNT and MX Customers

You may access your email through our outstanding "webmail" front-end (we offer several different clients including squirrelmail, roundcube, etc.) by clicking here: http://tekops.com:2096/

If you are using a dedicated solution or have a special configuration please use the information we provided you when you were first configured. If you do not have it or cannot find it please contact our customer service group.

If you prefer to use a remote client such as Outlook, Thunderbird, Eudora here are the configuration settings you need for interfacing with these clients:

  • POP (POP2/POP3) Server: mail.yourdomainhere
    • Alternatively:mailhost.tekops.com (our SSL certificate is keyed to this host)
    • ports: 110 or port 995 for SSL
  • IMAP (IMAP3/IMAP4) Server: mail.yourdomainhere
    • Alternatively: mailhost.tekops.com (our SSL certificate is keyed to this host)
    • ports: 143 or port 993 for SSL
  • SMTP Server: mail.yourdomainhere
    • Alternatively: mailhost.tekops.com (our SSL certificate is keyed to this host)
    • ports: 25

SSL and TLS may be available depending on your client, etc.

NOTE

If your ISP blocks connections to port 25 and your email client has SSL capability, you can try turning on SSL and connecting to either port 587 or 465 instead of port 25 on the outbound SMTP server and that might work for you. We've tested with Qwest, CenturyLink, XFINITY, COMCAST and ROADRUNNER and it works well.

Here's an example of what the outbound secure SMTP connection might look like with Thunderbird:

**NOTE** You may purchase from SubSpaceNetworks additional SSL certifications so that "mail.yourdomain-name-here.tld" has a valid SSL certificate that is unique to your site. Or You may access your mail by accessing our 2048-bit-SSL-key encrypted mail portal at http://tekops.com/webmail (for pop/imap/smtp access). A dedicated IP address may be required for implementation of an SSL certificate.
